Youth

Youth and young adults are encouraged to attend this multi-generational gathering! Youth under the age of 18 must register with a designated adult.

Childcare will be coordinated by the La Verne Church of the Brethren’s Children and Youth Ministries Coordinator, along with volunteers. Please indicate childcare needs on the registration form.

 

Meals
Your registration includes 5 meals lovingly catered by a member of La Verne Church of the Brethren. Please indicate dietary needs on the registration form.

 

Lodging

You are responsible for arranging your own lodging in La Verne. A limited number of homestays will be offered by members of the La Verne Church of the Brethren. Other lodging options include Airbnb and Vrbo. The closest hotels are the Sheraton Fairplex Suites & Conference Center in Pomona and the Best Western San Dimas Hotel & Suites in San Dimas. Please indicate on the registration form if you would like a coordinator to contact you about shared housing options.

 

Accessibility

The La Verne Church of the Brethren is wheelchair accessible and has accessible seating. If other accommodations including ASL or language translation are needed, please note them on the registration form and we'll do our best to meet them. HEPA air filters and N95 masks will be available at the gathering. We encourage you to test for COVID before traveling, and we will have rapid tests available in case you need them. If you are symptomatic, please refrain from attending.

 

Registration Cost

Registration is available on a sliding scale with a suggested donation of $100.  The actual cost per person is approximately $100, which covers 5 meals and snacks, honoraria for event facilitators, program supplies, and a 10% reparations tithe to a local queer, BIPOC organization. Please consider donating more than $100 if you can say YES to any of the following:

• I don't have to take off paid work to attend this event

• I have money in savings

• I am not burdened by debt

• I pay for meals from restaurants regularly

• I pay for vacation or other trips regularly

• I have an income that meets my needs

• My costs to travel to this event are relatively low

We hope all will be able to attend regardless of ability to pay. If you are able to contribute a larger registration amount, your tax-deductible gift supports BMC’s Solidarity Fund which reimburses travel expenses at BMC events for those who need it.
